Cancellation and Refund Policies

1. Introduction

This Cancellation & Refund Policy outlines the terms applicable to cancellations of domestic and international tour bookings made with Connectour Travel Company (“Connectour”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By confirming a booking, the traveler agrees to the terms stated below.

PART A: DOMESTIC TOURS (Within India)

2. Cancellation by the Traveler

  • If a traveler cancels a confirmed domestic tour booking, the following cancellation charges shall apply:

  • More than 15 days before departure – 50% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • 7 to 15 days before departure – 75% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • Less than 7 days before departure / No show – 100% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • Cancellation charges are calculated on the total tour cost per person.

3. Partial Cancellations

  • In case of cancellation of one or more persons from a group booking, cancellation charges will apply per person.

  • If the cancellation affects room occupancy (e.g., twin to single), the remaining traveler may be required to pay a single supplement.

4. Refund Processing (Domestic Tours)

  • Eligible refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days from the date of cancellation confirmation.

  • Refunds will be made via the original mode of payment.

Transaction or gateway charges, if any, are non-refundable

PART B: INTERNATIONAL TOURS

5. Cancellation by the Traveler (International)

  • Due to advance payments made to international suppliers (hotels, airlines, local operators), stricter cancellation terms apply:

  • More than 30 days before departure – 50% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • 15 to 30 days before departure – 75% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • Less than 15 days before departure / No show – 100% of total tour cost will be charged.

  • If flight tickets, visas, or international permits have been issued, actual cancellation charges imposed by airlines, embassies, or suppliers will be deducted.

6. Non-Refundable Components (International)

  • The following components are strictly non-refundable once confirmed:

  • Visa processing fees

  • Travel insurance premiums

  • International flight tickets (as per airline policy)

  • Special permits

  • Non-refundable hotel bookings

PART C: COMMON TERMS (Domestic & International)

7. Cancellation by Connectour

  • Connectour reserves the right to cancel a tour due to:

  • Insufficient minimum group size

  • Natural disasters or extreme weather

  • Political unrest or government restrictions

  • Force majeure events beyond control

  • In such cases:

  • Customers will receive a full refund of the amount paid to Connectour, or

  • Be offered an alternative travel date or package (subject to availability).

  • No additional compensation shall be payable.

8. Amendments & Rescheduling

  • Date change requests are subject to availability and supplier approval.

  • Rescheduling may incur additional charges.

  • Any fare or price difference must be borne by the traveler.

9. No Show Policy

  • Failure to report for the tour on the scheduled departure date will be treated as a “No Show,” and 100% of the tour cost will be forfeited.

10. Refund Limitations

  • Connectour acts as a facilitator between travelers and third-party service providers. Refunds for cancelled services are subject to:

  • Airline cancellation policies

  • Hotel cancellation terms

  • Transport operator policies

  • Local government regulations

  • Connectour shall not be liable for delays in refunds caused by third-party suppliers

11. Force Majeure

No refund shall be provided for interruptions or cancellations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural calamities

  • Pandemics

  • Government-imposed travel bans

  • Strikes

  • War or civil unrest

13. Governing Law

This policy shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Shillong, Meghalaya.
